Install LibreOffice 4.4.2 On Ubuntu 14.10/14.04/12.04 via PPA

Install LibreOffice 4.4.2 On Ubuntu via PPA. Download and install LibreOffice 4.4.2 in Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 12.04. Upgrade to LibreOffice 4.4.2 in Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 12.04 and Ubuntu Derivatives.

LibreOffice 4.4.2, the latest version has been released with over 50 fixes and many new improvements. Here’s how to install LibreOffice 4.4.2 on Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint 17.1, Linux Mint 17 and other Ubuntu derivative systems.


sudo apt-get remove libreoffice*
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-4-4
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libreoffice

Optional, to remove libreoffice, do:


sudo apt-get remove libreoffice*

Once installed, open it from Dash. If you are unable to find LibreOffice, try restarting the system.

Libre-office-4-4-ubuntu-14

The upcoming Ubuntu 15.04 will ship with the latest release installed by default.
