How to Install Sticky Notes Indicator in Ubuntu 14.10

How to download and install Sticky Notes Indicator in Ubuntu 14.10. You can also install Sticky Notes Indicator on Ubuntu 14.04, UBuntu 13.10, Linux Mint and others.

Sticky Notes Indicator is an open-source sticky notes app for Ubuntu’s Unity interface. The Sticky Notes allows you to take notes, write lists, and reminders on Ubuntu desktop.

Stickynotes has also been tested on the GNOME Shell, XFCE/Xubuntu, KDE/Kubuntu, MATE/Mint, and Sticky Notes/Mint interfaces.

Install Sticky Note Indicator

The Sticky Note Indicator can be installed via the developer’s PPA. The Sticky Note Indicator is available for Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 12.04 and other derivatives such as Linux Mint and OS Luna.

Run the following commands in the Terminal to add the Sticky Note Indicator PPA and install the app:


sudo add-apt-repository ppa:umang/indicator-stickynotes
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install indicator-stickynotes

Download Sticky Note Indicator

You can also download the Sticky Note Indicator .deb installer. Run the following commands to download the Sticky Note Indicator:

Once downloaded, double-click the Sticky Note Indicator .deb package to open it with Ubuntu Software Center.
