How to Install Sigil 0.8.2 in Ubuntu Systems
The developer does not provides the binary packages of Sigil ebook editor for Ubuntu Linux, but there’s a third-party PPA contains the latest builds (Sigil 0.8.2 so far) for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Ubuntu 14.10.
To add the PPA and install Sigil, press Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard to open terminal. When it opens, run commands below one by one:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:i2p.packages/i2p sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install sigil
You can also download and install the .deb package directly from the PPA page. Download the .deb and click to open it with Software Center and install the software.
Un-Install & Remove Sigil 0.8.2 From Ubuntu Systmes
Toun-install and remove the Sigil ebook editor (epub editor), open Terminal and run the following command:
sudo add-apt-repository -r ppa:i2p.packages/i2p && sudo apt-get remove sigil
