Upload photos/videos on Flickr from Linux Ubuntu Desktop using Frogr app. How to install Frogr 0.10 on Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.10 & Ubuntu 12.04 system.
Frogr is an open source program that enables the users to upload pictures and videos to flickr, specifying details such as title, description, tags, visibility, content type, safety level and whether to “show up on global search result. The Frogr app can handle multiple Flickr accounts and is integrated with GNOME Shell and the Mac OS X desktops.
Debian & Ubuntu
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mariospr/frogr
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install frogr
The Frogr app can easily be installed on the previous releases of Ubuntu (Ubuntu 12.04 “Precise Pangolin” or older versions), both for i386 and amd64 builds (32 bit and 63 bit OS).
Fedora
For the specific case of Fedora, frogr is packaged since Fedora 15 (Lovelock). You can simply run the following command in the Terminal to install Frogr in Fedore system:
sudo yum install frogr
If you want to uninstall and remove Frogr, run the following commands in Terminal:
sudo apt-get remove frogr
