Corebird is a native gtk+ Twitter client (graphical user interface) for Linux systems.
Install Corebird in Ubuntu Systems via PPA
You can install Corebrid on Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04 and other Linux distributions via an unofficial PPA. To install Corebrid, open Terminal and run the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/corebird
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install corebird
How to Use Corebrid
Once installed, open the Corebird application from Dash. The Corebird (Desktop Twitter Client) can be used easily. Below are the shortcut keys to use Corebird Twitter Client.
- Ctrl + t : Compose Tweet
- Back : Go one page back (this can be triggered via the back button on the keyboard, the back thumb button on the mouse or Alt + Left)
- Forward : Go one page forward (this can be triggered via the forward button on the keyboard, the forward thumb button on the mouse or Alt + Right)
- Alt + num : Go to page num (between 1 and 7 at the moment)
- Ctrl + Shift + s : Show/Hide sidebar
- Ctrl + p : Show account settings
- Ctrl + k : Show account list
- Ctrl + Shift + p : Show application settings
When a tweet is highlighted/selected/focused, the following shortcut keys can be used:
- r : reply
- tt : retweet
- f : favorite
- dd : delete
- Return : Show tweet details
