Ubuntu GNOME 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) Beta 1 released with Ubuntu MATE as an Official Flavor. Users can download Ubuntu 15.04 Beta alongwith other Ubuntu Flavors.
The first Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet beta is now available for download. Ubuntu 15.04 will be released on April 23, 2015. Alongside Ubuntu 15.04 Beta 1 download, users can also download Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu Kylin and Ubuntu GNOME and Ubuntu MATE. The Ubuntu GNOME 15.04 Beta 1 includes GNOME 3.14 and GNOME Shell 3.14.2.
The Ubuntu GNOME 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) Beta 1 desktop image can be downloaded from the following link. It allows you to try Ubuntu GNOME 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) without installing it on your computer. You can install it permanently later. The minimum requirement is at least 384MiB of RAM to install Ubuntu GNOME 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) Beta 1 image.

There are two images available, each for a different type of computer – PC (Intel x86) and 64-bit PC (AMD64) desktop images. PC (Intel x86) desktop image is for almost all PCs – Intel/AMD/etc type processors, Microsoft Windows PCs and Apple Macintosh systems. The 64-bit PC (AMD64) desktop image is based on the AMD64 or EM64T architecture.
It’s worth mentioning that few days ago, Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS was released with hardware enablement and Kernel 3.16. It also featured X stack for new installations to support new hardware across all supported architectures. The release now includes many updates, and updated installation media. These include security updates and corrections for other high-impact bugs, with a focus on maintaining stability and compatibility with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
