How to install and setup ‘My Weather Indicator’ in Ubuntu Systems. Install Ubuntu Weather Indicator for Unity Desktop (My Weather Indicator) via PPA on Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 14.04 Systems.
My-weather-indicator displays weather formation on Unity panel system tray area. It support two locations and features a desktop widget with a few themes. It shows up to 7 day weather forecast, and forecast map.
Install My-Weather Indicator
Open Terminal and the following commands to install Weather Indicator via PPA on Linux Ubuntu Systems – Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 14.04:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/atareao
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install my-weather-indicator
You can also install My-Weather Indicator vua the .deb installer package. Click on the link (given below) to download and install (“my-weather-indicator_0.6.9-0extras14.04.2_all.deb”) from the official launchpad page.
Once installed, you can launch it from the Dash. If you are using the Indicator for the first time, you will have to set your location, widget, weather service, display units, refresh frequency and other display setting.
Uninstall My Weather Indicator
If you want to uninstall My Weather Indicator, run the following commands:
sudo apt-get remove my-weather-indicator
Or
sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge ppa:atareao/atareao
