Install Solus (Evolve OS) Budgie 8.2 Desktop Environment on Ubuntu. Budgie 8.2 Desktop Environment is the desktop of the Solus Operating System (Evolve OS), which is simple and elegant. It is also known as one of the most beautiful Linux Desktops.
Budgie 8.2 Desktop Environment update brings many new changes. While Solus OS is still under development, Budgie seems to be much stable.
Budgie Desktop Environment
Budgie is the flagship desktop of the Solus Operating System (known as Evolve OS), and is part of the Solus Project. Designed with the modern user in mind, it focuses on simplicity and elegance. A huge advantage for the Budgie desktop is that it is not a fork of another project, but rather one written from scratch with integration in mind.
The Budgie Desktop tightly integrates with the GNOME stack and can now emulate the look and feel of the GNOME 2 desktop, optionally, via a setting in the panel preferences.
