Install FileZilla FTP Client on Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.10 and Linux Mint Systems. FileZilla is a free, open-source FTP/SFTP/FTPS client for Linux Ubuntu Systems.

New features:

  • Implemented new date/time handling to solve issues with DST conversion
  • *nix: Official Linux binaries are now built for Debian Jessie
  • In passive mode transfer, the source IP of the data connection is now bound to the same source IP as the control connection

Install FileZilla in Ubuntu 15.04 and Ubuntu 14.10

Run the following commands in Terminal to install FileZilla in Ubuntu 15.04 and Ubuntu 14.10:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/programs-ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install filezilla

Install FileZilla in Ubuntu 14.04/Ubuntu 12.04 and Linux Mint 17.1/17/13

Run the following commands in Terminal to install FileZilla in Ubuntu 14.04/Ubuntu 12.04/Linux Mint 17.1/17/13:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/programs-ppa2
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install filezilla
