The EOS Camera Movie Record software writes short movies with your digital DSLR camera Canon (R) directly to computer. The camera must have LiveView feature to work, like in Canon EOS 450D for example. The Program has preview, Av, Tv and WB control. The software has a graphical interface and can be used to control video settings – start and stop the recording, adjust the White Balance, change the focus and adjust zoom. The EOS MovRec supports Canon EOS 450D, Canon EOS 1000D, Canon 40D, Canon 50D, Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 1Ds Mark III camera.

Install EOS Camera Movie Record in Ubuntu
Open terminal and run the following command to install the EOS RecMov software via PPA, available for Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04, Linux Mint 17, and Elementary OS Freya:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install eos-movrec
If you wish to remove and uninstall EOS Camera Movie Record from Linux Ubuntu Systems, run the following command:
$ sudo apt-get remove eos-movrec
