Install new fonts on Ubuntu via Ubuntu Font Manager. Install Font Manager on Ubuntu 15.04 and Ubuntu 14.04, via PPA. Font Manager 0.7.2 is a simple font management for GTK+ desktop environments.
Font Manager application allows to manage fonts via a simple GUI. It can be used to install new fonts or remove installed fonts on Linux Ubuntu Systems.
Font Manager is intended to provide a way for average users to easily manage desktop fonts, without having to resort to command line tools or editing configuration files by hand. While designed primarily with the Gnome Desktop Environment in mind, it should work well with other Gtk+ desktop environments.
Install Font Manager on Ubuntu via PPA
Run the following commands in Terminal to install Font Manager on Ubuntu 15.04 and Ubuntu 14.04, via PPA:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:font-manager/staging
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install font-manager
Fedora and Ubuntu users can also find nautilus-font-manager in the repositories. Nemo and Thunar extensions (untested) are in the extensions directory. Please visit the official website for more details.
