Fix Spotify not launching error

If Spotify client does not start in Ubuntu 15.04, here’s how to fix it. This is the most common erro, Spotify won’t start in Ubuntu 15.04 and you see the following error message:

spotify: error while loading shared libraries: libgcrypt.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The reason for this is the missing libgcrypt 11 library for Spotify client. The said library can be installed manually on Ubuntu system:

libgcrypt11 32 bit deb

libgcrypt11 64 bit deb

Download the above click and install the libgcrypt11 .deb file. Once downloaded, restart the system and start Spotify again.
