Install Lightzone digital photo editor application. Terminal commands to install Lightzone image editor on Ubuntu 15.10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Derivatives. LightZone image editing program is similar to DarkTable or Adobe Lightroom. It supports popular image formats, RAW included.
LightZone v4.1.4 is the latest release of the Lightzone Photo Editor app. LightZone v4.1.4 has been released with the following changes.

Install LightZone on Ubuntu
LightZone v4.1.4 can be installed on Ubuntu Systems, via PPA. Open Terminal and run the following commands to add the PPA and install the Lightzone:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/lightzone
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install lightzone
Once installed, LightZone software can be opened via Ubuntu Dash.
To uninstall and remove lightzone from Ubuntu Systems, run the following command:
$ sudo apt-get remove lightzone
