Darktable 1.6.8 can be installed on Linux Ubuntu Systems, via PPA. Run the following commands to install Darktable 1.6.8:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-release
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install darktable
To uninstall and remove Darktable 1.6.8 from Ubuntu Systems, run the command given below:
$ sudo apt-get remove darktable
