Install Vivaldi 1.0 web browser on Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 15.10 Systems. Vivaldi 1.0 web browser is the first stable release of the Vivaldi Internet browser.
The recently launched Vivaldi 1.0 (stable release) has been announced with the following changes:
- Support for stacking tabs and saving tabs for a later browsing session
- It has an integrated Notes tool, a feature that permits the users to take screenshots of the visited pages and quick commands
- Built-in keyboard shortcuts and mouse gestures, for better productivity
- It is highly customizable, supports Chrome extensions, and lets you organize your bookmarks
Install Vivaldi 1.0 on Ubuntu
Vivaldi 1.0 can be installed via DEB packages on Ubuntu Linux Systems. Run the following commands in Terminal to install Vivaldi 1.0 on 32 bit Ubuntu Systems:
$ wget https://vivaldi.com/download/stable/vivaldi-stable_1.0.435.40-1_i386.deb -O vivaldi-stable_i386.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i vivaldi-stable_i386.deb
Run the following commands in Terminal to install Vivaldi 1.0 on 64 bit Ubuntu Systems:
$ wget https://vivaldi.com/download/stable/vivaldi-stable_1.0.435.40-1_amd64.deb -O vivaldi-stable_amd64.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i vivaldi-stable_amd64.deb
Once installed, open the Vivaldi web browser from Ubuntu Dash or Terminal.
If you wish to uninstall and remove the Vivaldi web browser, run the command given below:
$ sudo apt-get remove vivaldi*
