Rednotebook Journal App for Linux Ubuntu Systems. Terminal commands to install Rednotebook Text Editor on Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 15.10 and Ubuntu 14.10 Systems.
RedNotebook is a journal app, with calendar support. Among others, it allows the users to add tags, use bold and italic characters, has support for images, spell check features, automatic saving and backup functions, and many others. The RedNotebook comes with calendar support & navigation, customizable templates, export functionality and word clouds. You can also apply text-formatting, add tags and search entries. It also allows spell check features and automatic saving and backup functions. The RedNotebook journals can be exported to PDF, HTML, Latex or plain text and the data is stored in plain text files, no database is needed.
RedNotebook 1.12 is the latest version of the journal app. RedNotebook 1.12 has been released with the following changes.
- Add option to hide right-hand tags pane
- Never overwrite externally changed month files
- Remove support for Python 2.6.
Install RedNotebook 1.12 on Ubuntu
Run the following commands in Terminal to install the latest version of RedNotebook (v1.12) journal app in Linux Ubuntu Systems:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rednotebook/stable
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install rednotebook
Once installed, open the RedNotebook 1.12 from Ubuntu Dash or Terminal.
If you wish to uninstall and remove the installe RedNotebook, run the command given below:
$ sudo apt-get remove rednotebook
