Avidemux Ubuntu video editor. Install Avidemux on Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 16.10 and other Ubuntu Derivatives. Install Avidemux 2.6.16 on Ubuntu
Run the following commands in terminal to install Avidemux 2.6.16 on Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 16.10, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04 and other Ubuntu Derivatives:
sudo apt-get update
sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu xenial-getdeb apps" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/getdeb.list'
wget -q -O- http://archive.getdeb.net/getdeb-archive.key | sudo apt-key add -
sudo apt update
sudo apt install avidemux2.6-qt
Please note that the above command works for Ubuntu 16.10 Xenial. To install Avidemux on other Ubuntu versions, simply replace xenial in code with yakkety or whatsoever Ubuntu version you are installing on.
