Install LibreOffice 5.3.4 Via PPA On Ubuntu

LibreOffice 5.3.4 released. Install LibreOffice office suite for Linux Ubuntu Systems. LibreOffice is a powerful office suite – its clean interface and feature-rich tools help you unleash your creativity and enhance your productivity.

LibreOffice includes several applications that make it the most powerful Free and Open Source office suite on the market: Writer (word processing), Calc (spreadsheets), Impress (presentations), Draw (vector graphics and flowcharts), Base (databases), and Math (formula editing).

Install LibreOffice 5.3.4 via PPA in Ubuntu

Run the following commands in Terminal to install LibreOffice 5.3.4 via PPA in Ubuntu:

To Upgrade


sudo apt-get update
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt upgrade

To Install


sudo apt-get update
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libreoffice libreoffice-style-breeze

Please note that the Linux and Mac packages can be installed in parallel to LibreOffice 5.2, but not run simultaneously – documents will be opened in the version you’ve started first.

Linux users can download the latest version of LibreOffice application from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/
