How to set a specific page as a homepage of website in WordPress. This tutorial explains how to create WordPress static homepage with latest posts.

Set the Homepage (Front Page)

To set the Homepage:

Visit your WordPress site’s dashboard.
Go to Settings > Reading in the left sidebar.
If you want the Default Homepage, select the — Default — option in the Your homepage displays drop-down. You must note that a Default Homepage is a page that is designed by default by the theme, to use as the Homepage of your site. In simple words, a default homepage is what the theme’s preview shows to a user.
You can also use a custom homepage. To use a Custom Homepage, select the name of the published page (homepage) in the Your homepage displays drop-down.
Click the Save settings button at the top right of the Site settings panel.

To set a custom homepage from the list of pages on your WordPress website, click on the three dots next to a page, and then select Set as Homepage.

Go to My Sites > Pages > Add new page. Name it “Home.” Paste any content or leave it black.
Now, create a second blank page. Go to My Sites > Pages > Add new page and name it anything you like, let us name it as “Post Page”. Note that this is the page on which your posts will appear.
Now to designate your static custom homepage, go to My Sites > Settings > Reading.
Here you can choose to Display Latest Posts as your Homepage, or you can select a Static Custom Homepage and Posts page.
Click on the Homepage dropdown list and select the “Home” page you created (sse above) as your static homepage.
Next, on the Posts page dropdown, select the “Posts” page you created. (we created “Post Page” for our site.)
Click on Save at the bottom of the page to apply these changes.

Additionally, you can also set the Homepage from the Customizer using the following steps:

Go to Appearance > Customize.
Select Homepage Settings.
Select A static page under Your homepage displays.
From the drop-down menu under Homepage, choose your new page as the front page for your site.
Click Save Changes at the top right of the Customizer.
