Atom 1.3.3 Text Editor has been released. Install Atom Text Editor on Ubuntu 15.10, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 14.10, via PPA. Atom is a powerful multi-platform text editor developed by GitHub. It is known for its powerful features and an intuitive graphical user interface. The Atom text editor supports macros, auto-completion and split screen.
Atom 1.3.3 Text Editor
Atom 1.3.3 is the latest version of the Atom Text Editor. Atom 1.3.3 has been released with the following changes:
- Fixed an exception that would occur when undoing after closing a split pane.
- Fixed a crash that would occur when closing a full-screen window on OSX.
- Fixed an infinite loop that would occur when opening multiple files with the same names in different directories.
Install Atom 1.3.3 on Ubuntu
Run the following commands in Terminal to install Atom Text Editor on Ubuntu 15.10, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 14.10, via WebUpd8 PPA:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/atom
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install atom
Once installed, open the Atom Text Editor from Ubuntu Dash or Menu.
If you want to uninstall and remove the Atom text editor, run the following command:
$ sudo apt-get remove atom
