How to Install Sticky Notes Indicator in Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 14.10

Download and install Stickynotes Indicator on Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.10 and Linux Mint. It places a post-it (sticky) notes on Linux desktop.

Here’s how to download and install Stickynotes Indicator on Ubuntu and Linux Mint, using the PPA.

StickyNotes Indicator

StickyNotes Indicator is a simple appindicator which can be used to place post-it (sticky) notes on your Linux desktop. The notes placement on the desktop is restored on each login, which is very useful if you use the notes as reminders.

Install Stickynotes Indicator

The Sticky Note Indicator can be installed via the developer’s PPA. The Sticky Note Indicator is available for  Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint and other Ubuntu derivatives.

Run the following commands in the Terminal to add the Sticky Note Indicator PPA and install the app:


sudo add-apt-repository ppa:umang/indicator-stickynotes
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install indicator-stickynotes
