How to install Aard Dictionary (Offline) 0.9.3 on Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu Derivatives. Aard Dictionary is a free to use offline dictionary for Linux Ubuntu systems. It contains 7 offline dictionaries, including Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikiquote and WordNet. It supports multiple languages and other dictionaries can also be added to be used offline.

One can install Aard Dictionary 0.9.3 on Ubuntu 14.10/14.04, Linux Mint, Pinguy OS, Elementary OS, LXLE, Linux Lite, Deepin, Peppermint, Debian and other popular Ubuntu and Linux derivative systems.

Install Aard Offline Dictionary 0.9.3 On Ubuntu, Debian & Linux Mint


aarddict_0
Download the aarddict deb package and install the Aard dictionary via command-line (Terminal). To install Aard Dictionary 0.9.3 on Debian, Ubuntu and derivative systems, run the following command:

wget https://github.com/downloads/aarddict/desktop/aarddict_0.9.3-1_all.deb
sudo apt-get install gdebi
sudo gdebi aarddict_0.9.3-1_all.deb

If you want to uninstall and remove the Aard dictionary, run the following command:

sudo apt-get remove aarddict
