Install Tomahawk 0.8.4 Music Player On Ubuntu 14.10 & Ubuntu 14.04

Install Tomahawk 0.8.4 Music Player on Ubuntu Systems. Upgrade and install Tomahawk 0.8.4 music player (via PPA) on Ubuntu 14.04/14.10.

Tomahawk Music Player is a social media player that plays your local music (on PC) and also streams music from SoundCloud, Beats, Spotify, Google Play Music, YouTube and others.

The newly released Tomhawk Music PLayer 0.8 comes with a brand new UI, support for Beats Music & Google Play Music with now playing notifications. It also comes wit support for drag and drop iTunes, Spotify, etc. web links.

Install Tomahawk 0.8.4 in Ubuntu

Tomahawk-Music-Player-Ubuntu

Tomahawk 0.8.4 official Tomahawk PPA is not yet available for Ubuntu Systems, but you can install it manually. Run the following commands in Terminal to add the PPA:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tomahawk/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install tomahawk

Uninstall & Remove Tomahawk

To un-install and remove Tomahawk form Ubuntu system, run the following commands in the Terminal.

sudo apt-get remove tomahawk
sudo add-apt-repository -r ppa:tomahawk/ppa
