Telegram Desktop 0.9.18 is the latest version of the Telegram Client. Telegram Desktop 0.9.18 can be installed on Linux Ubuntu Systems, via PPA. Run the following commands in Terminal to install Telegram Desktop on Linux Ubuntu 15.10, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu Derivatives:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/telegram
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install telegram
Once installed, open the Telegram Desktop client from Ubuntu Dash or Ubuntu Menu. Please note that you will have to autorise and configure the Telegram Desktop Clinet to use on the Linux Systems.
If you want to uninstall and remove the Telegram Desktop 0.9.18 from Linux Ubuntu Systems, run the command given below:
$ sudo apt-get remove telegram
