Install VLC 3.0 Music Player On Ubuntu 16.04

Install VLC 3.0 music player on Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 15.10 Systems. VLC 3.0 media player is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files as well as DVDs, Audio CDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. VLC is a very powerful media player that plays everything – files, discs, webcams, devices and streams. It plays most codecs with no codec packs needed – MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, MKV, WebM, WMV, MP3.

Install VLC 3.0 On Ubuntu

Run the following commands in Terminal to install VLC 3.0 music player on Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 15.10 Systems:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:videolan/master-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vlc

Once installed, open the VLC 3.0 music player from Ubuntu Dash or Terminal.
