Install Facebook Messenger on Ubuntu
It is very easy to install Facebook Messenger on Ubuntu. Go to Messenger for Desktop website (https://messengerfordesktop.com/) and download the deb package of your OS architecture – x86 for 32 Bit systems and x86_64 for 64 Bits systems. Once installed, install the deb file. Open Terminal, navigate to the download folder and then run the following command to install Facebook Messenger on Ubuntu:
sudo dpkg -i Messenger_linux*.deb
Once installed, open Messenger for Desktop from Ubuntu Dash or via Terminal with this command:
