How to install Google Chrome on Ubuntu 17.10. Install google-chrome-stable in Ubuntu Linux Systems; install Google Chrome in Ubuntu 64 bit.

Chrome 62

The Chrome team is delighted to announce the promotion of Chrome 62 to the stable channel for Windows, Mac and Linux. This will roll out over the coming days/weeks. Chrome 62.0.3202.62 contains a number of fixes and improvements. Chrome 62 update includes 35 security fixes. Below, we highlight fixes that were contributed by external researchers. Download and Install Chrome

You can download Chrome 62 from https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html and install it manually.

You can also install Google Chrome 62 via Terminal commands:

sudo apt-get update
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-chrome.list

Now copy and paste the following line to the bottom of the sources.list file

deb [arch=amd64] http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main

Now continue the installation by running the following commands:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt install google-chrome-stable
