In Elementary OS Luna, when you click on a file to select it, it gets open automatically. This is an unusual behavior which is not liked by many. In this tutorial we will learn how to enable double click in Elementary OS Luna.
To enable double click feature (disable single click feature) in Elementary OS, you will need to install install Elementary Tweaks first. Open Terminal and run the following commands to install Elementary Tweaks tool:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:versable/elementary-update
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install elementary-tweaks
Enable Double Click In Elementary OS Luna
- Once installed, go to System Settings and select Tweaks to start Elementary Tweaks.
- Under Tweaks, select Files from the left sidebar.
- Now here, disable the Single Click option.
This will enable double click in Elementary OS Luna. There is no need to restart the system, double-click will be enabled instantly.
