Calibre e-book management software (Calibre e-book reader) for Linux Ubuntu. Install Calibre 2.39 on Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04 and Derivatives.
Calibre 2.39 is the latest version of the Calibre E-book Management Software. The latest version of the software (version 2.39) has been released with the following changes.
- Implement tag mapping to automatically filter/transform tags when adding books or downloading metadata. Now you can create simple rules that will filter/transform the tags when adding new books or downloading metadata for books. To setup the rules, go to Preferences->Adding books and Preferences->Downloading metadata
- Kobo driver: Support for newly firmware version 3.18
- Edit Book: Add a setting to control icon size for the toolbars (Preferences->Toolbars)

Install Calibre 2.39 on Ubuntu
The Calibre 2.39 can be installed on Ubuntu. Open Terminal and run the following commands to install Calibre on Ubuntu Systems:
$ sudo -v && wget --no-check-certificate -nv -O- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kovidgoyal/calibre/master/setup/linux-installer.py | sudo python -c "import sys; main=lambda:sys.stderr.write('Download failed\n'); exec(sys.stdin.read()); main()"
Once installed, you can start Calibre via Ubuntu Dash.
