Install Plank Dock 0.10.0 in Ubuntu, via PPA

Download Plank Dock App for Ubuntu. Install Plank Dock 0.10.0 in Ubuntu, via PPA. Install Plank Dock and Plank-Themer on Ubuntu 15.10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Derivatives.

Plank is the default dock app for Elementary OS 0.2 Luna System. It can also be installed on other Ubuntu Systems. Plank Dock version 0.10.9 “Bartonschmeer” is the latest version available of the Plank app.

Plank 0.10.9 “Bartonschmeer” can be installed on Ubuntu 15.10, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu Derivatives Systems. Run the following commands in Terminal to add the Plank Dock PPA to Linux system and install the Plank package:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:docky-core/stable
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install plank

Once installed, run the following commands to create the symlink for Plank Dock App:

$ sudo ln -s /usr/share/applications/plank.desktop /etc/xdg/autostart/

Open the Plank App via Ubuntu Dash. You can also configure the settings  as per your need.

If you wish to uninstall and remove Plank Dock App from Linux Ubuntu Systems, run the following command:

$ sudo apt-get remove plank
