How To Install Mixxx 2.0 DJ Software on Ubuntu 15.10 & Ubuntu 14.04

Install DJ Software on Ubuntu Linux Systems. How to install Mixxx 2.0 DJ Software on Ubuntu 15.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu Derivatives. Mixxx is a popular DJ software for Linux Ubuntu System. The Mixxx DJ Software supports reading songs and playlists, via iTunes. The application also supports more than 30 DJ MIDI controllers and comes with various exciting features.

Mixxx DJ software can easily work with various audio files such as MP3, M4A/AAC, OGG, and FLAC audio. As with any other DJ software, the MIxxx DJ Software features adjustable EQ shelves, timecode vinyl control, recording, and Shoutcast broadcasting.

Install Mixxx DJ software on Ubuntu

To install Mixxx on your Ubuntu system, you have to add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the mixxx package:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mixxx/mixxx
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install mixxx

Once installed, open the Mixxx DJ software from Ubuntu Dash or Ubuntu Menu.

If you want to uninstall and remove the Mixxx DJ Software, run the command given below:

$ sudo apt-get remove mixxx
