Wire Encrypted Chat App for Linux – Install Wire Messaging App on Ubuntu

By Sourabh / October 12, 2016 Category: How To, Ubuntu

Install Wire messaging app on Linux Ubuntu. Wire is an open source secure messenger an encrypted chat app that offers fully encrypted audio calls and video calls.

The Wire app for Linux has comparable functionality with Wire for Windows and macOS, and calls, video calls, etc. work cross-platform. However, it is still in experimental phase and hence there is no auto-update. The experimental app runs nicely on the latest Ubuntu and on other .deb-based distributions. Support for more distributions coming later.
