Ubuntu 18.10 release date is 18 October 2018. Ubuntu 18.10 “Cosmic Cuttlefish” Beta will be released on 27 September 2018.
Ubuntu 18.10 will be released with many new features, such as unlock with your fingerprint, thunderbolt settings via GNOME Control Center, XDG Portals support for snap, GNOME software improvements, snap start-up time, Chromium as a snap, power consumption features, media sharing capabilities, a brand new theme, a new installer and also a public website for metrics reporting.
