Learn how to create Instagram Story layout. This new Instagram Story camera feature lets you use the current camera settings and create a brand new Instagram Story in different layouts.
Announcing the feature, Instagram writes – “Strike a pose. And another pose. And then another. With Layout, you can now capture and share multiple photos in your story — a new, creative way to express yourself. Check it out!”

How to use Instagram Story
To share a photo or video to your story using the Instagram app:
- Tap camera icon in the top left of your screen or swipe right from anywhere in Feed.
- Tap click button at the bottom of the screen to take a photo, or tap and hold to record a video. To choose a photo or video from your phone’s library or gallery, swipe up anywhere on the screen.
- Tap options to scribble, or to draw, add text or a sticker to your photo or video. To remove text or a sticker, drag and drop it on at the bottom of the screen.
- When you’re ready to share, tap Your Story in the bottom left.
- Stories disappear from your profile, Feed and Direct inbox after 24 hours, unless you add them to your profile as highlights.
How to use Instagram Story Layout
Using Instagram’s Layout feature one can add image collages to their Instagram Stories, one can post up to six photos at once.
- Open Instagram.
- Tap to Story to create a new story.
- From the bottom of the story page, slide to the new Layout option.
- You cans select the kind of layout you’d like to use.
- Click on the camera button to proceed.
- Once done, share it to the Instagram Story.
Instagram’s new Layout feature has been launched globally, 17 December, onwards.
