How To Select And Delete All Unread Emails In Gmail App On Android And iPhone

NOTE: When you delete a message, it stays in your trash for 30 days. After that time, it will be permanently deleted from your account and can’t be recovered. You can move messages out of your trash if you deleted them in the last 30 days.

Select And Delete All Unread Emails In Gmail App on PC/Laptop

  1. Log in to your Gmail account on your laptop. Note that you can’t delete all messages from the Gmail app.
  2. At the top left, click the Down arrow Down arrow.
  3. Click All. If you have more than a page of messages, you can click Select all conversations. Note that for iPhone, At the top left, check the box to select all messages on the page. If you have over 25 messages, you can click Select all conversations.
  4. Click Delete

Access your Gmail account in a browser. In the search bar, type is:unread and hit Enter. Click on the Select All checkbox. Select the option that is highlighted in blue: “Select all conversations that match this search.”
