How to Install Ubuntu Touch’s Music App 2.0 in Ubuntu 15.04/14.10

How to download and install Ubuntu Touch’s Music App 2.0 in Ubuntu 15.04/14.10. Install Ubuntu Touch’s Music App 2.0 via .deb packages directly from launchpad page.

Open terminal and run the following commands to install Ubuntu Touch’s Music App 2.0 via PPA. You can install Ubuntu Touch Music App 2.0 on either Ubuntu 14.10 or Ubuntu 15.04. Please note that you must have music in your $HOME/Music directory:

sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:vthompson/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install music-app music-app-autopilot

If you don’t want to add PPA, you can install Ubuntu Touch’s Music App 2.0 via .deb packages directly from launchpad page.

To remove Ubuntu Touch Music App 2.0 from Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 15.04, run the following command in Terminal:

sudo apt-get remove music-app
